Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming a group of foreign teachers who will soon be teaching foreign languages at our local elementary school. Before they begin their teaching journey, they joined a special tea garden experience to learn more about one of our town’s most important industries—tea.
Led by professional tea farmers, the teachers started by hand-picking fresh tea leaves in the garden, learning how to select the best ones. They then experienced the tea-making process firsthand: rolling the leaves, feeling their natural aroma, and trying their hand at packaging. Finally, during the tea tasting session, they were able to enjoy the refreshing fragrance and rich flavors of Taiwan tea, gaining a deeper appreciation for our unique tea culture.
This activity not only introduced the foreign teachers to our local industry but also served as a meaningful cultural exchange. Many expressed that the experience helped them feel more connected to local life, and they look forward to sharing this with their students in the future.
Through tea—a product that connects people and the land—we believe more friends from around the world will come to experience the warmth and cultural richness of our hometown.
